Director's Cut

Is this your first time at the Morelia International Film Festival?

This is my first time as a filmmaker. I've gone before as a spectator.

Is the 9th edition of FICM the first festival your film has participated in?

Yes, for me FICM is a very important event because it is held in my native city and this means I can share my work with people from this region.

How did you become interested in the theme of the film?

I've always believed in destiny. I have been in situations similar to those in my short film. For example, when you meet someone and some kind of chemistry develops, you don't want to let the opportunity pass you by to speak with that person because you feel a special connection.

What was the biggest challenge you faced making the film?

Filming in a public street in London. You have to fill out innumerable forms -- it's a very bureaucratic process. Also editing the sound, as everything was filmed in silence and sound was added totally in post-production.

What are your expectations for the Morelia International Film Festival?

I know it's a great festival. The most important thing for me is to show my film to the public. I think it's a great platform to meet other filmmakers and people involved in film.
