FICM Winners in Celebrate Mexico Now

FICM 2008 short film winners - La canción de los niños muertos by David Pablos, Best Fiction Short Film; Jacinta by Karla Castañeda, Best Animated Short; Zoogocho by Bernardo Arellano, Best Documentary Short; and Roma by Elisa Miller, García Bross Special Award - will be shown at the 6th Annual Celebrate Mexico Now Festival in New York City on Sept. 8 ? 20.



The FICM short film winners, also screened at the 49th International Critics´ Week at the Cannes Film Festival, will be presented on Friday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at the School of Visual Arts. After the program, there will be a question and answer session, moderated by Lucila Moctezuma, with directors Karla Castañeda and David Pablos.

 Celebrate México Now is the first and only annual festival of contemporary Mexican culture and art produced in New York City. This multidisciplinary event, including cuisine, dance, film, literature and music, aims to familiarize artists with the most interesting ideas emerging from Mexico today.
