The Mexican documentary, Bajo Juarez, by Alejandra Sanchez and Jose Antonio Cordero will be exhibited from May 29th to June 4th in the Cineteca Nacional. The film won a TITRA award and a special mention in the last edition of FICM.
Bajo Juarez is about the tragic murders committed against women in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.

The 48th edition of the Semaine de la Critique in Cannes was officially closed today with the Grand Prize award ceremony in which Cinepolis handed out 5, 000 Euros to the best film in the Semaine. The award went to Adieu Gary by Nassim Amaouche.

This Friday Cinepolis will present the winner of the Semaine Internationale du la Critique with the Grand Prize. Cinepolis has awarded, for five years straight, the prize which consists of 5,000 Euros.

Wadley, by Matias Meyer and the short film, Leccion relampago, by Alejandro Lubezki, will be screened from the 22th to the 31th of may on the Cineastas mexicanos contemporáneos cycle (Contemporary Mexican Filmmakers cycle) in UNAM´s Filmoteca.

Winners of the sixth edition of FICM during the awards ceremony presided by Daniela Michel, director of the Mexican festival and Cuauhtemoc Cardeas Batel, vicepresident of the festival.

Today the short film winners of the sixth edition of FICM were screened in the Semaine International de la Critique in Cannes. The films are: La cancion de los niños muertos by David Pablos, winner in FICM for Best Fiction Short Film; Jacinta by Karla Castañeda, Best Animation Short Film; Zoogocho by Bernardo Arellano, Best Documentary Short Film and Roma by Elisa Miller, who got the García Bross award.
