Su cortometraje documental Un día ordinario (2010) formó parte de la Selección Oficial del 4° Certamen de Cortometrajes de Guadalajara y del 4° Festival de Cine y Video Documental Zanate, Colima. Obtuvo la Beca de Cine y Video del Consejo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes (CECA), Jalisco, y el apoyo del 6° Concurso Nacional de Apoyo a la Post-Producción de Cortometraje, otorgado por el Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía (IMCINE), para su cortometraje de animación ¿Qué es la guerra? (2013). Participó, con esta obra, en el 11° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM); en el Short Film Corner del 66° Festival de Cannes, Francia; en el 28° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG); y en el 35° Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, Cuba, entre otros.
