Su largometraje documental Wetback – The Undocumented Documentary (2005) obtuvo, entre otros premios, Mejor Documental en el 15° Cinequest Film Festival (CQ), San José, California; Mejor Historia en el 1er Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de Navarra Punto de Vista, Pamplona; y el Audience Top 10 Favorites en el 12° Festival Internacional Canadiense de Cine Documental Hot Docs, Toronto. Participó en el 5° FICM con su largometraje documental Súper amigos (2007), ganador de Mejor Película Extranjera en el 7° Silver Lake Film Festival, Los Ángeles, y de una Mención del Jurado en el 22° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG), entre otros.
