Participó en el 4° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM) con su cortometraje documental Apoloniatzi y la revolución (2006), que recorrió más de 20 festivales alrededor del mundo, entre ellos el 2° Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de la Ciudad de México DocsDF y el 4° Festival Internacional de Cine de Acapulco (FICA). Su cortometraje obtuvo en México cuatro premios a Mejor Cortometraje Documental: en el 2° Festival de Cine y Video Indígena (FECVI), Morelia; en el 3er Festival de Cine Universitario Kinoki y en el 3er Festival de Cortometraje Independiente (FECI), ambos en la Ciudad de México; y en el Festival Corto y ½, en Aguascalientes. En 2015 fue observador participante en el DocsForum del Festival Internacional de Cine Documental de la Ciudad de México, DOCSDF, en el que presentó 1918 ChichilOtlakiz (Otoño Rojo) que actualmente se encuentra en postproducción.
