Dentro de su trabajo de investigación y publicaciones académicas, se encuentra una antología visual de fotos, Mexico: Stencil: Propa (2008), donde documenta la expresión de arte político (esténcil) realizado por artistas anónimos en las calles de Oaxaca y de la Ciudad de México, así como el artículo “Santa Muerte Profile”, en 2012, de The World Religions & Spirituality Project (WRSP) por parte de Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), Estados Unidos. Su obra cinematográfica ha recorrido más de 10 muestras, festivales, museos y coloquios académicos alrededor del mundo. Participó, con su cortometraje documental, en co-dirección con Neyda Paredes, El día primero: Santa Muerte en el barrio de Tepito (2011), en el 1er Ethnografilm Festival, París, y en el Odgen Museum of Southern Art, Nueva Orleáns, Luisiana, en 2012, entre otros.
