Coach Nick Scanlon is an unemployed Manhattan barfly. Dumped by his girlfriend and his suddenly mature and working friends, he becomes motivated to do something more with his life. He quickly finds himself a job coaching a middle school soccer team in his neighbohood and meets Gabrielle, a beautiful doctor who works at a neaby hospital.
