A Swedish family travels to the French Alps to go skiing. While they are having lunch at a mountainside restaurant, an oncoming avalanche changes everything. With diners fleeing in all directions, the mother, Ebba, calls for her husband, Tomas, to save their children. Tomas, however, has fled to save himself… The avalanche peters out in front of the restaurant, leaving no damage; but the family’s world has been shaken to its core.
