Jessica hasn’t been able to sleep since she was startled awake by a loud bang at dawn. While visiting her sister in Bogotá, she befriends Agnès, an archaeologist studying human remains found in a tunnel under construction. Jessica travels to see Agnès at the excavation site. In a small town nearby, she meets a fish scaler, Hernán. They share memories by the river. As the day ends, Jessica is suffused with a sense of clarity.
