Edgar Adrián Flores graduated with a degree in Audiovisual Arts from the University of Guadalajara [UDG, by its initialism in Spanish, Universidad de Guadalajara], where he focused his filmmaking practice on short-film post-production, scriptwriting, and direction.
His work engaged with cinema from a queer perspective, with a particular interest in intimate and everyday experiences. In 2019, he took part in a project led by filmmaker Jaime Humberto Hermosillo.
His first short film Cuando llegue a casa [When I Get Home] (2026) served as his directorial debut and thesis project. The film explored identity and the awakening of desire through the story of a teenage boy from Guadalajara and his relationship with his grandmother. The short film had its world premiere in the Generation 14plus section of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) and was later featured in the Guadalajara International Film Festival.
