Image Ferrer, Marta She graduated with a degree in photo directing from the Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC), and received a master’s degree in creative documentary from the IDEC - Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, and a student exchange scholarship at the CCC film school in Mexico City. She won the Best Feature Documentary award at the 8th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM), a Special Mention from the jury at the 4th International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City DocsDF and the second prize at the 2009 Muestra Internacional de Cine y Video Visión Frontera in Baja California for her film El Varal (2009). Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult.
