Image González Penilla, Gilberto He studied communication and advertising at the University of Tijuana (CUT) and cinematography at the CCC film school in Mexico City. He worked on the editing of Pablo Delgado Sánchez’ first feature film, Las lágrimas (2012), which was part of the Official Selection of the 10th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). He participated with his documentary short film, Amor en tiempos de incendios (2013), in the 11th FICM, the 9th edition of the Ambulante Documentary Tour, Mexico, and the 21st Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival, Canada. He participated in the 3rd Riviera Maya Film Festival (RMFF) and the 17th Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF) with his first feature film Los Hámsters (2014), which won the award for Best First Feature Film at the 5th Distrital Cine y Otros Mundos International Film Festival, Mexico City. He was nominated for Best Documentary at the 56th Ariel Awards, Mexico, for his documentary short film Conversaciones de un matrimonio (2014), which won the award for Best Short Film at the 18th International Short Film Festival of Santiago (FIDOCS), Chile.
