The film has also participated in festivals such as the Los Angeles CineFest, in the United States; the Roma Cinema DOC, in Italy; and the Festival Internacional de Cine UNACH, in Chiapas, Mexico. In addition, Esto es lo que me tocó won the award for Best Documentary at the Student Festival of the Vasco de Quiroga University.
