Image Mondragón; Irving He studied performing arts: film, audio and multimedia at the Paul Valéry University, Montpellier III and cinematography at the Paris Diderot University - Paris 7. He also has a master’s degree in documentary film directing from the Bordeaux Montaigne University, in France. Director, editor and cinematographer, he collaborated in postproduction in diverse European documentary projects, including L’esprit du vin (2011), by Olympe and Yvon Minvielle, and We Come As Friends (2014), by Hubert Sauper. He has also worked as video director in transdisciplinary audiovisual projects and the organization of film festivals. His documentary short film El hombre de maíz (2014) won a Special Mention at the 12th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM). Other Movies Mexico will no longer exist! A frenetic view runs over a convulsed Mexico City, a colossal metropolis sustained by the myth of "mestizaje" and other colonial forms of violence. Past and present weave a flurry of images; fragmented memories of this land. Ancient deities are incarnated, while dreams overlap among intimacy, complicity and the tumult. As a teenager, Ziuta weathered exile with fortitude and determination, saving her mother and other relatives from perishing in their flight. With a Super-8 camera that once belonged to his father and has remained untouched for 41 years, he plans to retrace the path of the shepherd: the journey of transhumance that his grandfather undertook in his youth, following now-forgotten coordinates.
