His short fiction film Las ovejas pueden pastar seguras (2009) won the prize for Best Actress at the 7th Short Shorts Film Festival Mexico (SSFFM) and Best Iberoamerican Short Film PROMOFEST at the 7th International Short Film Festival FENACO Cusco. It participated in more than 30 film festivals and showings around the world, including the 7th Morelia International Film Festival (FICM) and the 13th Munich International Film Festival, Germany.
