The screening was attended by FICM President Alejandro Ramírez Magaña. Buried under plaster for decades, a visionary mural painted in Mexico by Philip Guston, then 21, is brought to light. This documentary chronicles its rediscovery and restoration, revealing the prophetic anti-war message and artistic roots that marked his entire career. Filmed in four countries and seven cities, the documentary reveals the power of art as an instrument of protest against the world's injustices.“This mural is ultimately a message of peace,” said Laura Furcic during the presentation of the documentary. “We wanted to have a record of this important restoration. We prepared some material about the inauguration, but then we saw it and thought, ‘This has to go much further,’” the director added.
